Symetri 2010 Conference Press Release
9th Jun 2010
Newcastle 9th June 2010 – Symetri is pleased to announce record attendance and unprecedented customer feedback for its series of customer conferences held across northern England and Scotland last week.
Hosted in Newcastle, Sheffield and Aberdeen, the Symetri conferences showcased the new release Autodesk 2011 manufacturing software toolkit and provided a forum for customers to analyse – with the help of Autodesk manufacturing experts and Symetri’s own specialists – how the latest 3D digital prototyping technology can help their businesses to grow.
The one day events, which attracted more than 230 delegates from the wider manufacturing bases, featured guest speakers from Autodesk who outlined the challenges facing the industry and why digital prototyping and simulation have become integral to the future of manufacturing. Breakout sessions highlighted Autodesk Publisher, iLogic and Vault Professional and covered tips and tricks for implementing the 2011 product set.
Symetri supports 30% of Autodesk’s installed manufacturing base across the UK, making it the largest Autodesk manufacturing solutions reseller in the UK. As such, the industry looks to Symetri not just for product but also for training, experience, and their consulting expertise to help tailor solutions to their needs.
“These events were crammed full of information and many of our customers – who are seeing an upward curve in their order books – are hungry for information that will help them capitalise on the upturn,” says Symetri sales manager , John Pickering.
“At the largest event in Sheffield, , we created seven digital prototyping satellites, each with 50” plasma screens running a different presentation that focused on different aspects of digital prototyping in creating different products. Our customers responded really well to that – they could move around the satellites and get answers to their questions – and they seemed to leave wanting more. With the growing use of digital prototyping and other technology, it’s a time of change and progress in manufacturing design and our customers are excited to be part of it.”
