Autodesk is moving to a Subscription business model

As Autodesk continues to move toward a single licensing model, we want to give a preview of some upcoming changes for our Maintenance customers.

Beginning June 2017, you will be able to move your products on a Maintenance plan to a Subscription for less than half the cost of a new subscription. The discount given will decrease in 2018 and 2019.

This offer is only applicable for Maintenance customers at the time of renewal from 1 June and onwards.

The difference between Subscription and Maintenance Plan

  • Autodesk Subscription (rental)

When you subscribe to Autodesk software, you "pay-as-you-go" and get access on a monthly, quarterly, annual or multi-year basis for greater adaptability and lower up-front investment compared to perpetual licenses.

  • Autodesk Maintenance Plan

A maintenance plan is the only way to maintain and maximise your perpetual software license. A standard maintenance plan contract term is one year (12 months).

We know you most likely might have questions about what these changes mean for you and your company and we are ready to walk you through the options you have as a Maintenance customer.

We will support you to make the best decision that best fits your needs.
