Our experience is reflected in the skills of everyone who works here. Our trainers, consultants and engineers invariably come from the Product Design & Lifecycle or Building & Infrastructure sectors they support; they have been product designers, architects, technicians, engineers, construction managers and project managers. They share your challenges because they’ve personally faced them. They have the passion to explore, assess and evaluate the many new and varied developments in products and processes taking place in our industry today. As a design professional, I have used AutoCAD for over twenty-five years since release 13. Having graduated from Leeds Polytechnic with a degree in Three Dimensional Design and a specialism in Furniture Design I worked as a freelance furniture designer where I gained valuable knowledge and practical experience. I have been delivering training as an Autodesk Approved Instructor since 1998 as the Built Environment Solutions Trainer formally for Cadassist Ltd and more recently for Symetri Ltd. Between 2005 and 2013 I held the position of CAD Manager for Blackpool Councils Central Seawall Project, which was awarded the prestigious Brunel Award. As a Senior BIM Consultant for Symetri Ltd, I specialise in delivering training within AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP and 3ds Max.

A benefit of Paul’s graphics experience is knowledge of visualisation and presentation techniques that take advantage of the latest 3D modelling software.

Product Manager for Sustainable and Environmental Design

Bettool Jabur is a distinguished professional with a dual expertise in Chartered Architectural Technology and Product Management, specializing in Sustainability and Environmental initiatives on a global scale. In her role as a Product Manager, she oversees three innovative products under her portfolio - Naviate Bimfire, Naviate Daylight, and Naviate Zero. These products are at the forefront of advancing sustainable practices worldwide. Bettool also serves as the representative for the Naviate Architectural Team in Europe, showcasing her leadership and strategic vision within the organization.

Prior to her current role, Bettool gained valuable experience within Architectural practice, working on a diverse range of projects including large stadium designs, housing schemes, and educational facilities.

Bettool also runs a Podcast show called "Optimise Et Al - a Technology Podcast Powered by Naviate." This platform allows her to have deep discussions on cutting-edge technologies, sustainability trends, and the future of architectural design. With a keen focus on collaboration, Bettool works closely with diverse business units and a broad customer base. Her commitment to integrating sustainable solutions into architectural practices is evident in her work, driving positive change in the industry. Bettool's dedication to environmental stewardship and her expertise in architectural technology have earned her recognition as a trailblazer in creating greener, more efficient built environments.

Daryn has worked within the construction sector for over 35 years, providing extensive experience in the management, application and integration of Digital Information Technologies within Design Consultant, Main Contractor, Developer and Employer Organisations. Today, Daryn is predominantly an advisor to Employer Organisations, provides Information Management services directly, leads the LRQA (previously Lloyds Register) BIM | ISO 19650 Accreditation scheme on behalf of Symetri, is an Associate Lecturer at Middlesex University supporting its MSc BIM Management programme, guest lecturers at other Universities and is currently researching a PhD in Data Quality within the Construction Sector. As an educator Daryn is known for his pragmatic and impartial approach, building on and reinforcing concepts by using real-world application and examples.

From his original career working in the Structural, Architectural and Civil profession working in partnership with many major UK AEC firms including Atkins Global, Buro Happold and AKT II, Rob has developed practical skills and diverse knowledge of best practice, protocols and procedures. Rob prides himself on being able to look at the individual BIM process requirements of an organisation and offer a fully bespoke solution. After all, “all BIM implementations are unique”.

A qualified CEng MSpICE Civil Engineer with over 7+ years post graduate experience. Enrique graduated with a Master's in Civil Engineering, which covered a wide variety of subjects in the fields of transport, structural analysis, geotechnical design, coastal, water and environmental engineering. Enrique joined in 2015 and is an Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD Civil 3D, subsequently helped many clients resolve their Civil 3D problems. He provides training in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Geoff Alder has been training Autodesk applications for 25 years. He came into training from practical experience in the building industry. He has designed and carried out technical training all over the world. Geoff is a particularly dedicated trainer on 3D applications and has won awards from Autodesk for training on 3ds max.

Andrew joined us in 2018 as an Applications Engineer. He gained his HNC in Building Studies whilst working for a leading Architectural Practice in the midlands. For 15 years prior to joining us, he was a CAD Manager/IT Support Technician working closely with the IT manager. This unique role and technical background enabled Andrew to balance the requirements of Information Systems, CAD Management, Architects and Technicians. His experience in Software Licensing, Compliance and Deployment Strategies in both Physical Workstation and Virtual Machine environments help him to support our partners through the decision making process.

CAD Application Support Engineer
A CAD support engineer since March 2018, Sharan has experience and professional certification using Revit. Her background in the architecture and construction industry lends itself to her knowledge of Autodesk's AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trimble's SketchUp and our own document management system Excitech DOCS. Sharan has taken responsibility for the implementation and support for Autodesk BIM360 Cloud services for a range of different size organisations and projects, both domestic and international. She has also provided bespoke and effective Revit elbow support to clients both on-site and off-site to guide clients through their requirements on the software.

Working in a multi-disciplined design and build environment for 24+ years, Steve has vast knowledge of the problems that will be encountered on projects of all sizes, and provides suitable solutions. Steve’s main expertise lies in the design, construction and management workflow of information and technology requirements to ensure a project meets the full requirements and data is reused through the delivery. Steve acts as the Project BIM manager and information manager for our clients and helps them de-risk and deliver the project to meet the full defined requirements.

Whilst working onsite for several years, Tom gained his experience in Site Engineering and Management. He worked as a main contractor, guiding supply chain partners on day-to-day site delivery activities. It’s this very background that Tom brings to the consultant delivery team, allowing Symetri’s clients to benefit from his knowledge of new BIM processes and technology. To further increase his skill set, Tom has gained a MSc degree in BIM and Digital Built Environments to help bring more ideas to the construction division. Tom has a passion that envisions the future of construction going digital and believes technology will play a large part of daily site activities not too far in the future.

With over 42+ years in the industry Nick’s primary expertise is centred around MEP design, detailing, design management, on-site construction management and O&M handover. Other specialist skills include CAD, BIM, digital fabrication, office to field instrumentation, DFMA, lean and many emerging digital formats and data schemas. In addition, he has previously managed a CAD team within a Civil Engineering Consultancy and set up a remote intelligent 3D modelling capability in the subcontinent.

Ainsley has over 25 years’ experience in developing commercial software solutions and has a versatile set of skills and knowledge available to take a project from planning, through to final deployment. He currently provides bespoke solutions based on Autodesk products such as AutoCAD and Revit as well as working on solutions for the internal web-based systems.

Natalie Bacci

Consultant
Natalie has both a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Interior Architecture and a Masters Degree in Architecture and Urbanism. She subsequently gained extensive industry experience across a variety of different disciplines working in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Urban Design and Geospatial Science. Natalie has managed and coordinated numerous high-profile projects for flagship clients including Buckingham Palace, the MOD, the FCO, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority as well as many other commercial, educational and civic projects. Natalie’s industry experience has equipped her with the technical knowledge, skills and expertise in the utilisation of a range of Autodesk applications including AutoCAD and Revit for Architecture. As a Consultant and Professional Certified Autodesk Instructor at Symetri, Natalie frequently consults with clients and delivers training on Autodesk Revit to a variety of multi-disciplined industry professionals.

Alan is an Autodesk Certified Instructor with over 9 years in software training. He has worked in and around the construction industry for over 25 years. Originally a drawing board trained draughtsman, then moved to AutoCAD in the mid 90’s, with experience as an architectural technician, a structural technician and even working in demolition. Alan now delivers training for Revit Structure, Revit Architecture, Revit Family Creation, and Navisworks.

Craig is a part of the Client Success Team. His responsibilities include overseeing client strategy during pre-sales and maintaining strong relationships. Craig’s experience includes BIM Management for the Architecture solutions team, overseeing the BIM management and coordination process, providing technical support, and managing the model exchange for various Symetri clients. Before joining Symetri, Craig was a BIM Manager at SOM, supporting projects such as Karlastaden Tower Gothenburg, Manhattan Loft Garden, and Green Peninsula Upper Riverside, as well as BIM Coordinator at Pascall + Watson, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted & Istanbul airports.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from the University of Brighton.

Lukasz has over 15 years of experience working with a variety of clients from Architects, Engineers, Main and Specialist Contractors, Owners and Facility Managers. Throughout his career, he transitioned various businesses from traditional CAD mindset to BIM by developing their strategies, educating and coaching, and developing automation tools for a variety of sectors. Lukasz brings his technical knowledge and experience with his responsibility for delivering innovative and smart solutions. He aims to build strong and trusted partnerships with Symetri clients and support the Symetri team in delivering elegant solutions. Lukasz holds a Master of Science in Environment Engineering and Land Surveying from the University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

David is a technology driven and problem solve Consultant who can work within a CDE environment, create design automation applications/workflows, managing and coordinating a federated model, running clash detection reports and managing companies BIM standards. Natural leadership and strategic planning capabilities permit him to effectively integrate the right mix of technology, processes, and training to address an organization’s unique needs.

At Symetri, Logan is responsible for providing project specific consulting, training, information management, support and implementation services to a variety of our architectural, civil, structural and construction clients.​ Prior to joining Symetri, Logan was a BIM Coordinator at John Sisk and Son (SISK Group) where he coordinated production and performance of clash detection for tender and construction-stage BIM modelling processes. Prior to this, Logan fulfilled a number of on-site roles. He is proficient in a range of applications including Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D- scanning, LIDAR and BIM 360.

Max is providing consulting, training, advising and implementation services. His strong technical knowledge of BIM and digital tools, combined with his multi-disciplinary approach to design and project management skills, allow him to integrate digital technologies to solve design challenges and meet the customer’s goals, delivering efficient solutions as well as maximising automation and collaboration. Prior to joining Symetri, Max had various BIM related roles at multi-disciplinary firms, structural engineering consultancies, as well as prefabricated house manufacturers. He has a range of experience working on multi-million-pound schemes using both traditional construction technologies and off-site systems, within the residential, education, healthcare and hotel sectors.

Cristina is a Consultant at Symetri providing Information Management, BIM Management and Coordination services, training, software implementation and consulting services to our clients. She graduated from Sheffield School of Architecture, completing both her BA Hons in Architecture and MArch: Collaborative Practice, and consequently gaining extensive experience at renowned practices. Additionally, she has offered BIM model development on large building projects to help seek solutions to challenges throughout the lifecycle of a building. At Symetri, Cristina assists with Revit content creation, workflow implementation, coordination and visualisation for various types of projects. Her knowledge of construction industry and digital technologies supported by her natural strategic planning, leadership and collaboration skills make Cristina a strong consultant our customers can rely on.

Kris provides technical support, training, mentoring, software implementation and consulting services. He gained experience working on historic buildings, luxury boutiques and high-end developments as a technical architect and CAD / BIM manager. He is a qualified architect in Poland and Great Britain with extensive professional experience. At Symetri, Kris supports a wide range of architects and engineers by providing consulting, advisory and hands-on services for standards development, training and information management services. His knowledge of the construction industry and digital technologies, backed by his natural strategic planning, leadership and collaboration skills, make Kris a strong consultant that our clients can rely on.

He has a lot of experience with the Autodesk Manufacturing portfolio and has used Inventor since its inception.  Craig’s philosophy to life is “Every day is a school day” and loves getting others both customers and colleagues involved with learning.  Craig manages Symetri's Autodesk Support team for both MFG and AEC alongside managing the manufacturing training division.

Chris has a proven track record for delivering results that come from auditing businesses and management processes, working with key stakeholders, defining client needs, developing proposals and plans to meet those needs, as well as overseeing the implementation of the complete project solution.

An Autodesk simulation solutions manager with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing field, including working at Rolls Royce and British Aerospace. Wasim has been involved with Autodesk simulation software from when it was first introduced, and is well-known throughout the Autodesk simulation community, worldwide. He has also authored the Up and Running with Autodesk Inventor Professional and Inventor Nastran books. He also runs a dedicated forum for Autodesk simulation users on LinkedIn – Up and Running with Autodesk Simulation.

Product Design & Lifecycle – Applications Consultant
James has been with Symetri since 2015, starting his career here as an AutoCAD and Inventor trainer and Support Engineer. He has 20 years+ engineering experience and is currently focusing his machining knowledge within the MAKE team at Symetri, specialising with PowerMill and Fusion 360 CAM. James is very much a people’s person and thrives when training a wide variety of delegates with different backgrounds and knowledge. This love for training allows James to create fun and interactive training courses, where he has successfully transferred his skills and knowledge of manufacturing, design and document management techniques to help our customers progress within their current engineering roles. James approach to life is “a problem shared is a problem halved” and loves to be challenged in his current role and therefore any question asked, no matter how great or small, he is always willing to help.

Cheryl started her career as a designer within the Oil and Gas Industry, after studying at college and university focusing on Computer Aided Design and Mechanical Engineering. Cheryl brings her focus, knowledge and confidence to the team, challenging Symetri customers to stay ahead of the game. Currently Cheryl’s main focuses are to supply Symetri customers with CAD/CAM/CAE and data management solutions which help retain standardisation and introduce future thinking.

Ian has been working in the Autodesk ecosystem for many years, designing products, automation systems and implanting PLM/PDM solutions. He is fully versed in many of the Symetri’s own Tech Sovelia products and has used these as part of a large engineering company prior to his work at Symetri. Ian also has experience automating workflows to align with the client’s objectives to work smarter, not harder.

After Graduating in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Manchester in 1992, I have worked in a consulting/training and CAD Management role and used software such as Microstation with Bentley Systems & Autocad for over 17 years. At Symetri, I am an Autodesk Certified Instructor, currently, part of the Manufacturing Team consulting & delivering training in Inventor/Autocad & Navisworks. I am also the technical lead for Navisworks and work with the AEC department for any BIM related issues with Revit/Inventor & Navisworks.

I have been with the company since October 2008 working as the Technical Co-Ordinator for the Manchester office. I am a graduate of the Manchester Metropolitan University where I completed an honours degree in Business Information Technology, I am also a Microsoft Certified Professional for enterprise-level server and desktop solutions. I am currently focused on delivering data management projects and solutions in particular Autodesk Vault for our clients.

Steve is a manufacturing consultant at Symetri, and has been with the company since August 2006. Steve is an Autodesk Authorised Trainer and an Autodesk Certified Instructor, He holds certified professional status for both Inventor and AutoCAD. Steve has over 30 years of experience in a training role, conducting training courses throughout the UK and USA. Originally from the Aerospace industry, he gained 20 years’ experience working on various aircraft structural projects. He has trained over 300 aircraft designers in the art of CAD. He also gained a further 10 years’ sheet metal CAD/CAM experience. Steve has trained hundreds of Inventor and AutoCAD customers how to link their CAD models to various CNC punching, laser, routing and water jet machines.

Jason has been an Applications Engineer for over 2+ years with his expertise lying in the Manufacturing industry. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First class honours in Sports Engineering (BEng), which included CAD and design modules. Jason's knowledge broadens to products such as Inventor Professional, Vault, AutoCAD and also has experience with installations, upgrades, and licensing. He has also given talks and run training courses on Inventor add-ins such as Factory Design Utilities and Rendering & Animation.
Tim Durham

Product Design & Lifecycle – Applications Developer

Tim’s career has exclusively been in a Technical IT Systems or Consulting role within the Manufacturing CAD Partner channel since graduating from Edinburgh University back in 1993. Whilst based in Scotland for a 6-year period, he was a founding co-Director in a consultancy firm specialising in MFG Design, EDM and PLM product offerings, before this was dissolved in 2007 into what has today become Symetri UK. Tim’s knowledgeable expertise within the team, may be described as an “Analyst Developer”. Working with mostly Autodesk or Symetri Tech portfolios he provides a backbone for Support, implementation, configuration, integration, bespoke extensions, or niche tools that allow our clients to “Work Smarter”. He is mostly to be found on enterprise projects working with .NET, some SDK or Scripting; to enhance our clients’ bespoke application usage, processes or efficiency.

Over the last 5 years, Simon has become one of the country’s leading cloud PLM Consultants, working with a team of specialists who deliver fully integrated end-to-end engineering data management solutions.

A Data Management Systems Engineer with over 14 years of experience in implementing and supporting PDM Solutions, principally specialising in solutions using Solidworks PDM Professional. John is also qualified as a Certified Solutions Associate in Microsoft SQL Server and has extensive SQL DBA Experience, which he uses to assist customers in migrating data to new PDM and PLM solutions delivered by Symetri, using both Autodesk Vault and Solidworks PDM Professional.

Phoebe has been working as a support engineer with Symetri for over 2 years, with a background in manufacturing engineering and industrial engines. She graduated with a degree in Automotive Engineering - BEng (Hons) - and is currently working towards a master's degree in Psychology - MSc (Psych). She has been working with Inventor for over 7 years and Vault for 4 years and offers assistance with licensing, installation and how-to support.

Although relatively new to manufacturing, Megan has developed an interest into emerging technologies, specifically with Fusion 360.

Luke started his career in automotive engine design before moving into consulting and software development. Now with 12 years’ experience working with Autodesk products, he is well placed to meet our customers automation needs with well-tailored .Net applications written with the end-user in mind. He enjoys a consultative approach to software creation – active listening to ensure the optimal solution. These days he is mostly found working on our Sovelia Fusion Manage solutions, serverless web functions, or well-crafted Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, or Revit apps.

Barrie Joined Symetri in 2007 as a Helpdesk Engineer and has progressed to an IT Solutions Specialist. Prior to joining Symetri, he used to manage an Automotive Business as an Engineer and was a senior Electronic Engineer repairing mobile phones before that. He is a Qualified Electronics Engineer holding a City and Guilds 224 in Electronic Servicing and also an NVQ in Engineering. Engineering and IT has always been his passion since he was child and with this enthusiasm and keenness, he continues to enhance his knowledge in new technologies. His knowledge varies across the board including Virtualisation, Storage, Cloud solutions and much more. He also delivers client training, installations, pre-sales and consultancy for various products, along with fully supporting the Helpdesk for escalated calls.

While learning on the job, and with in-house training, Josh has quickly progressed to become an IT Solutions Specialist. Jeremy joined Excitech in 1998 (before it became Symetri) as a Hardware Engineer and has now progressed to an IT Solutions Consultant. His knowledge varies across a broad range of technologies including virtualisation, storage and cloud solutions. Jeremy also has a great deal of knowledge around the Autodesk suite of products regarding licencing and deployments. IT installations, pre-sales and fully supporting the Helpdesk for escalated calls are his main responsibilities.

Jim joined Excitech in 1996 (before it became Symetri), previously working in the communications industry with British Telecom and the burgeoning IT industry with Granada. Jim has worked within the IT industry for the past 25 years. His knowledge of IT technologies is broad and has worked on many projects incorporating technologies such as virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix), security (Dell, HP and Cisco), storage (Panzura, SAN, NAS, Cloud Providers Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure), and Cloud (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure Office 365 Nutanix XiFrame). Outside of work, Jim is a keen cyclist and keen on the outdoor life including birdwatching.

Andy Joined Symetri in 2014 as a Technical Support Engineer having previously worked in the corporate industry with Sainsburys at their head office in Holborn. Andy has over 15 Years’ experience in the IT industry and is skilled in various platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Office 365, In-house Exchange, Windows 7, 8 and 10, Software-Hardware Installations and experience with in-house and cloud backup solutions. He is always happy to help customers with a smile with any IT related issues they may have, and is an avid supporter of Newcastle United FC.

Clive has been in engineering most of his life, starting off at GEC Avionics, moving to work in a field service role with MFS group and then support at Santander. He has since worked in several IT support roles, supporting high level bankers and traders, to the home users before joining Symetri 2 and half years ago to support our customer base.

Daniel joined Symetri in early 2020 following a career in the Telecoms industry working with BT and many other companies. From a young age he has been passionate about IT systems; he is continually embracing new technologies to enhance his knowledge in order to provide for customers' ever-changing needs and ensure end-users get the best out of their equipment. Prior to joining Symetri, he worked alongside senior engineers doing on-site visits with clients and provided sales support during client negotiations for bespoke proposals. His experiences have given him a good insight into every step of customer on-boarding from quotation stage, right through to end-to-end installations and aftercare. He has learned the importance of forming good customer relationships, and moreover to gain an understanding of their individual requirements.

Nita joined Symetri in early 2020 and has been in the IT industry for 20 years. She started her career teaching IT to adults and children which included supporting students through GCSE and A level computing, before becoming an IT Support Engineer. She then moved onto become a Service Delivery Manager which she has now been doing for over 10 years, having supported a variety of different industries including medical insurance, educational and entertainment.

Richard joined us in 1997 as an apprentice IT engineer conducting on-site installations of CAD workstations and Microsoft and Novell network environments. After a brief spell away to travel the world, he returned to work on our helpdesk supporting our CAD customers. In 2007, Richard was promoted to Support Services Manager and worked in this role until 2016 when he decided to acquire new skills and widen his IT industry knowledge and left to work as an Operational Manager for one of the UK’s Top 20 leading Information Security companies. In 2019 Richard once again returned to Symetri as Head of Support and Customer Success to further improve the Symetri customer support experience and is now responsible for the IT Solutions division.
