As you may recall, in January 2020 Excitech was acquired by Addnode Group, the owner of Symetri, Europe’s leading provider of software and services for design and engineering activities. Since then, we have been looking at how we can bring the two businesses together and trade as one entity.

We wanted to let you know that we have now completed this process. As of 11th January 2021, Excitech has become Symetri and the following changes have now taken place:

  • Excitech Ltd has merged with Symetri Ltd
  • Our legal entity is Symetri Ltd (CRN: 3239798)
  • Going forward we will place orders as Symetri
  • Our purchase orders now look different and have the Symetri logo (an example can be found here)
  • Our name and logo have changed to Symetri
  • Our website has been redirected to symetri.co.uk
  • We are migrating our email addresses to Symetri addresses. In the short-term, our Excitech email addresses will redirect, however, please make sure you update your records. New email details can be found here.

Please rest assured it is business as usual for us and your trading relationship with us will not be impacted. The contacts you deal with will remain the same with the addition of some new faces from the existing Symetri operations in the UK.

ABOUT THE ACQUISITION:

Excitech was acquired by Addnode Group on 17th January 2020.

Addnode Group is an international information technology company with 1,700 employees in 19 countries. Product Lifecycle Management: supplies software and services for simulation, design and product data information. The solutions are used for product design and more efficient development processes by collecting and managing data throughout the life of a product, from development to recycling. The division's operations are conducted by the subsidiary Technia, which is one of Europe's largest suppliers of PLM software and services.

Process Management: is a leading provider of software and services to the public sector. With the help of automation and digital support, the solutions contribute to smoother document management, simplified administration and quality assured processes in the contact between authorities and citizens. The division's solutions are mainly used by the public sector in Sweden, but there is a growing business in Norway and the division also helps companies in the private sector to exploit the possibilities of digitisation in their processes.

It has 23 subsidiary companies across these 3 divisions.

Symetri is wholly owned by Addnode Group and operates within its Design Management Division.

QUOTES & PURCHASE ORDERS:

Quotes will need to be issued to Symetri going forward. We will notify if any of your current quotes need to be re-issued.

Yes. Any purchase order received from Excitech, or received up to the end of last year, should be processed according to the order. Orders placed from 1st January 2021 will be in Symetri’s name.

PAYMENT OF INVOICES:

You should continue to invoice Excitech for orders placed by Excitech last year. Please ensure you include the Excitech purchase order on the invoice.

From 1st January 2021 orders will be placed by Symetri and should be invoiced to Symetri going forward.

Yes, all existing invoices will be paid as per Excitech orders. Any orders invoiced going forward should be addressed to Symetri.
