Positional representations allow parts within an assembly to exist in various positions. These positions can be displayed within the assembly, and you can create overlay views in the drawing file to show these different positions. For instance, in a hydraulic ram assembly, the piston can be shown in open, closed, or intermediate positions.
Positional representations enable you to illustrate the piston in these various positions and generate corresponding views.
