Autodesk Inventor - Skeletal Modelling & Sketch Blocks

Skeletal Modelling is a technique for constructing assemblies from simple sketches. For instance, when designing bike frames, you can start with a basic sketch and then build the tubular frames on top of it. This method allows the assembly to adapt if the sketch is modified.

Sketch blocks are similar to skeletal modelling, but they enable you to test the movement of the assembly using the sketches within the part environment. You can then extrude, revolve, and create geometry, separating these elements using multi-body parts.
