This course provides you with the skills to intelligently explore numerous urban-scale design options in a way that would not be possible without Forma’s artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

• Create a new project, navigate the Forma interface
• Add and manage relevant contextual data to your project including topography and property boundaries
• Learn how to manage project-wide settings including metrics for unit sizes, functions and space and area 
• Develop multiple alternative site configurations and effortlessly switch between them to assess how they might affect your design
• Learn the different methods of designing buildings and understand which one best matches your needs
• Create and edit geometries using Forma’s native modelling tools
• Understand terrain editing capabilities in Forma
• Design simple floor plans and explore area use, the number of building cores required, or whether parts of your building will receive sufficient daylight
• Use Forma’s suite of analysis tools to quickly assess risks and opportunities so you can make informed choices
• Compare different analysis results side by side 
• Harness Forma’s 3D Sketch to create and modify complex shapes
• Apply 3D Sketch features to your building such as tilting a façade or pitching a roof
• Learn how to use the new Forma Board for collaborative design exploration, ideation, and discussion
• Learn how to use the Rhino add-in to work with Rhino and Forma geometry bi-directionally
• Extend an urban-scale project with the use of additional and third-party applications.
