Webinar | Understanding the new Digital Management of Fire Safety Information Standard - BS8644-1

As a result of the tragedy at Grenfell Tower, the Grenfell Tower Inquiry was set up. In parallel with the Inquiry in September 2017, as part of the Government’s response, Dame Judith Hackitt was commissioned to review the Building Regulations and Fire Safety Act and in particular, their impact on Fire Safety.

Dame Judith recommended the introduction of a digital ‘golden thread’ of information as a tool to manage buildings as holistic systems and allow people to use information to design, construct and operate their buildings safely and effectively. Out of this a new Building Safety Act and Digital Management of Fire Safety Information Standard have been created.

The BS8644-1 Digital Management of Fire Safety Information Standard which was published on 29th July, aims to provide a more detailed framework and approach for addressing the areas mentioned in the Hackitt report.

Join our webinar on Thursday 8th September to find out:

  • More about the standard – why it was introduced and what it contains.
  • About its links to the Building Safety Act.
  • What is required to remain compliant.
