In January 2020 Excitech was acquired by Addnode Group, the owner of Symetri, Europe’s leading provider of software and services for design and engineering activities. Following the acquisition, we were looking at how we could leverage the wider capabilities of both companies to deliver enhanced solutions and services to our customers.

We wanted to let you know that we have completed this process, on 11th January 2021, Excitech became Symetri. It is business as usual for us and your service experience will not be impacted however you should be aware of the following changes that have taken place:

  • Excitech Ltd has merged with Symetri Ltd
  • We trade as Symetri using the Symetri logo and branding
  • Our new bank details can be found here
  • Quotations and invoices will be from Symetri 
  • We cannot accept orders addressed to Excitech so if you need to add Symetri to your approved supplier list, please contact your account manager today or email sales.support@symetri.com for further information

ABOUT THE ACQUISITION:

Excitech was acquired by Addnode Group on 17th January 2020.

Addnode Group is an international information technology company with 1,700 employees in 19 countries. Design Management: supplies software and services for architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and the real estate sector. In addition, it offers a comprehensive set of BIM services that help its customers understand and adopt BIM practices. The division has a strong offer for project collaboration, property management and workplace services in the Nordics and UK. The operations are conducted in the subsidiaries Symetri, Tribia, and Service Works Global (SWG).

Product Lifecycle Management: supplies software and services for simulation, design and product data information. The solutions are used for product design and more efficient development processes by collecting and managing data throughout the life of a product, from development to recycling. The division's operations are conducted by the subsidiary Technia, which is one of Europe's largest suppliers of PLM software and services.

Process Management: is a leading provider of software and services to the public sector. With the help of automation and digital support, the solutions contribute to smoother document management, simplified administration and quality assured processes in the contact between authorities and citizens. The division's solutions are mainly used by the public sector in Sweden, but there is a growing business in Norway and the division also helps companies in the private sector to exploit the possibilities of digitisation in their processes.

It has 23 subsidiary companies across these 3 divisions.

Symetri is wholly owned by Addnode Group and operates within its Design Management Division.

Founded in 1989, Symetri has a team of 450 people and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company has 23 offices throughout Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and the UK.

LICENCES:

You can continue to use all your licences as before. The management and support of your licences will be transferred to Symetri in the next few weeks, but we will inform you when this is about to happen.

Your reseller on record will switch to Symetri on your Autodesk Account and 3rd party product portals in the next few weeks. You do not need to do anything yourself. We will make the switchover behind the scenes with the supplier and notify you when this is about to happen.

QUOTES & ORDERS:

Yes, your quote is still valid for the term stated at the bottom of your quote. However, if you accept the order it will be processed by Symetri.

Excitech has become Symetri so your quotes will now come from Symetri and appear with Symetri branding.

We cannot accept orders addressed to Excitech so if you need to add Symetri to your approved supplier list, please contact your account manager today or email sales.support@symetri.com for further information.

Your account manager will work with you to ensure we have completed the appropriate application for Symetri to be added to your approved supplier list. If this is still outstanding please contact your account manager today or email sales.support@symetri.co.uk for further information.

All current works and projects will be honoured and delivered by our team as agreed.

SUPPORT:

Yes, we will continue to honour and fulfil our obligations for all existing support, subscription, and maintenance agreements.

Your services levels will remain the same.

The contacts you deal with will remain the same with the addition of some new faces from the existing Symetri operations in the UK to improve the support we offer you. You will benefit from an increase in the breadth of skills we now have access to by being part of a larger organisation.

SERVICES AND TRAINING:

All training courses will be delivered as per your booking. As Symetri, we will be able to offer a larger portfolio of courses, with more scheduled dates and training locations.

Yes, all existing orders will be fulfilled as agreed by Symetri.

The contacts you deal with will remain the same with the addition of some new faces from the existing Symetri operations in the UK to improve the support we offer you. You will benefit from an increase in the breadth of skills we now have access to by being part of a larger organisation.

PAYMENT OF INVOICES:

Our bank account details have now changed, you will find them here. These will also appear on any invoices we send you.

There are many frauds and scams these days, so if you are not sure and wish to verify any of these details, please independently look up our phone number on our website and ask to speak to your account manager or someone in the accounts department.

Excitech are authorised by the FCA to carry out regulated activities, limited to secondary credit broking. We are in the process of cancelling this authorisation as Excitech will no longer be carrying out regulated activities. The FCA obliges Excitech to notify its customers that it is cancelling its registration, an obligation which the company has hereby fulfilled.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

The Excitech terms and conditions for existing contracts will remain the same. On renewal of contracts or services or new/updated quotes/orders Symetri’s terms and conditions will apply.
