Working together to bring advanced workflows to users of Autodesk’s BIM 360

Symetri announce exclusive partnership with matterlab

London, UK – 13th August 2021 – Symetri, Europe’s leading provider of software and services for design and engineering activities, today announced an exclusive partnership with matterlab, a product and innovation lab of technology experts, software developers, designers and entrepreneurs, dedicated to improving the built environment.

Working alongside leading organisations in the building industry, matterlab design strategies and software for advancing workflows within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. matterlab develop custom workflows and existing tool enhancements for more efficient and intelligent ways of working, and have extensive experience developing solutions around Autodesk’s BIM 360 ecosystem.

As Symetri strive to support innovative companies in the building, infrastructure, and manufacturing industries optimise their working methods and increase the quality of their projects, the partnership with matterlab was a natural fit. Of particular interest to Symetri, was matterlab’s product portfolio which has been designed to specifically enhance the user experience of Autodesk’s BIM 360.

The partnership with matterlab brings ArchiveHub, ValidationHub and SizeMyHub into the Symetri portfolio. These tools provide users with the ability to archive and access a completely offline, local version of their BIM 360 data, summarise details around hub size/average file size/files per folder and create strict quality standards for all files uploaded to their projects. This means that users can archive data securely and quickly, future-proof project data and make project handovers easier.

Richard Brayshaw, Business Area Director for the UK Construction team at Symetri enthused “We have admired the quality and value of the solutions created by the matterlab team for the last few years and are excited to now offer these as part of our portfolio. These products will be offered to our extensive customer base of BIM 360 users alongside our other own-tech offerings Naviate and Sovelia. We hope to continue the development of these solutions alongside our customers to ensure they bring as much value as possible.”

Mark Thorley, Co-Founder of matterlab, stated “this partnership offers a great opportunity to bring our BIM 360 products to a wider customer base through Symetri’s extensive network. Symetri share our vision for products and collectively we look forward to bringing these benefits to many of their customers across Europe.”
